Rooted in Tradition, Made for Reconnection

Back in 2002, we decided to create something special in a place we’ve always loved. We wanted to build a space where families, couples, and friends could come together, slow down, and soak up the beauty of Lake George.

Being family-owned and operated means you’ll always be greeted by one of us (usually Tom!) with a smile. Over the years, we’ve had the joy of watching guests return summer after summer.

That’s what it’s all about, creating memories that last a lifetime.

People gathered outdoors around a campfire with tables, some standing and waving, during a celebration or barbecue in a backyard with trees and a house in the background.

Our mission is pretty simple: we want this to be a place where you can pause to reconnect with nature and the people you love.

We’re big believers in porch-sitting, late afternoon cookouts, and laughing so hard around the fire that your cheeks hurt.

Whether you’re staying for the weekend or settling in for a whole week, our hope is that you leave feeling refreshed, and maybe just a little more in love with the Adirondacks than when you arrived.

  • “What a fantastic place to stay. The owner Tom is so cool! We even stayed a 3rd night, Very Clean. Very Quite. Loved the kitchen. We can't wait to go back next year. Very close to outstanding shopping & food. Our Yorkie hated leaving.”

  • “Love this place! We stayed in an adorable 1 room cottage with a private bathroom. Very clean, cute porch off the front and Tom was super friendly!”

  • “We visited the Amber Lantern Motel 2x this season. The Amber Lantern has everything a family needs. The fact that the Amber Lantern has a pool, play area with jungle gym, basketball hoop, volleyball, ping pong table and a fire pit makes the stay much easier with children of all ages. The kids played outside, while I sat on the mini-porch watching them, and at night we made smores at the fire pit and picnicked as well! Tom the owner and his family go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need”
